Question # 8
Q. I like coming to services but can not keep up. Any suggestions?
A. My suggestion is to do what my father suggested to me as a little boy. Daven the beginning and ends of each paragraph and skip the middle. After enough times in shul, one will begin to "close the paragraph up" as it becomes more familiar. A practical suggestion as to how not to feel frustrated and keep up with the service, but absorb a faster pace. And there will always be someone praying faster than you, or knowing a little more than you!
